Scholarships for international students
The University of Turin funds 15 two-year scholarships to international students willing to enrol in the first year of a postgraduate degree program, a.y. 2019-2020.
To be considered an international student you need:
- to hold a valid qualification providing access to a Master’s degree programme obtained outside the Italian education system
- not to have Italian citizenship.
Applications will be evaluated on the basis of the GRE General Test, which must have been obtained not earlier than 5 years before this Call deadline and successfully passed in all three sections with the following minimum scores:
- Verbal Reasoning: 140/170
- Quantitative Reasoning: 140/170
- Analytical Writing: 3.5/6.

Applications shall be submitted within Sunday April 14th 2019, exclusively through the online procedure.
Each scholarship amounts to 9,000 euros per year, gross of all charges for the beneficiary’s account. The awarding of 9,000 euros for the second year is subject to the achievement of academic merit requirements. Academic merit requirements will be published through an advice on the present webpage.
In order to be admitted and enrol in the chosen programme, non-EU students residing abroad must respect VISA procedures and deadlines concerning the access of foreign students to Italian university courses set in the Regulations issued by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR).

The Italian Ministry for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation awards scholarships for studying in Italy both to foreign citizens and to Italian citizens living abroad (IRE) for the academic year 2018-2019. The aim of these scholarships is to foster international cultural cooperation, spread the knowledge of the Italian language, culture and science, as well as promote the Italian economic and technological system throughout the world.
Scholarships are offered to carry out study, training and research projects in Italian Higher Education Institutes (State-owned institutions or institutions legally recognized by the relevant State authorities).

The Italian Ministry of Interior and the Conference of the Rectors of Italian Universities (CRUI), in cooperation with ANDISU (National Association of Organizations for Studying Rights), offer 100 scholarships to students refugees or with international protection. The call is reserved to students who apply in the Italian university system for the first time for the a.y. 2018-19 belonging to the following categories:
- winners of the previous call in the a.y. 2016-17 and a.y. 2017-2018 who are entitled to obtain the scholarship in a.y. 2018-2019
- students who obtain a regular enrollment, for the first time in the Italian university system, in a bachelor, master degree, or a PhD program - a.y. 2018-2019.

The University of Turin is partner of the Peruvian National Program for Scholarships and Educational Loans (PRONABEC). PRONABEC offers international postgraduate scholarships "Becas Presidente de la República" for Peruvian citizens residing in Peru. Scholarships will be available for full-time masters programs and PhD programs. Full details of the scholarship programme can be found through the PRONABEC website.
