Scholarships for international students
The University of Turin joins the IUPALS project - Italian Universities for Palestinian Students promoted by the Conference of Italian University Rectors - CRUI shared with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation the Ministry of University and Research and the Consulate General of Italy in Jerusalem.
The project aims at supporting Palestinian students who reside in Palestinian Territories and are interested in studying in Italian universities.
The University of Turin funds 4 scholarships to Palestinian students resident in Palestinian Territories.
The scholarships will be assigned as follows:
- 3 scholarships reserved to students who enroll for the a.y. 2025-2026 in the first year of a 3-year undergraduate degree program without restricted number of places or in one of the postgraduate degree programs without restricted number of places, held in English, listed on the call for application
- 1 scholarship reserved to students for the a.y. 2025-2026 who enrol in the first year of a postgraduate degree program without restricted number of places, held in Italian, Fisica or Fisica dei sistemi complessi.
Total amount of the scholarship: gross amount of 12,000 euros per year.

For the a.y. 2025-2026 the University of Turin joins for the fourth time the UNICORE project.
The aim of the UNICORE 7.0 project is to promote the right to higher education for refugees, through the creation of university corridors from Ethiopia, India, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe to Italy.
UNICORE 7.0 is supported by a consortium of international, national and local partners, including the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI), the University of Turin and other Italian universities.
The University of Turin funds 3 two-year scholarships including monetary (7,000 euro per year) and service benefits to international students who are refugees in Ethiopia, India, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe and interested in enrolling for the a.y. 2025-2026 in the first year of one of the postgraduate degree programs without a restricted number of places and held in English.

For the a.y. 2024-2025 the Italian Ministry of University and Research, in partnership with the Conference of Italian University Rectors (CRUI), offers 100 scholarships to students with international, subsidiary and temporary protection status (Ukraine emergency).

In compliance with the decisions taken by the Academic Senate and the Board of Governors on 16 and 18 December 2024 and to guarantee the right to education, the University of Turin promotes a set of financial actions in terms of scholarships and/or exemption from tuition fees for international students enrolled on courses at the university in the academic year 2024-2025 and coming from countries in armed conflict in the last 12 months.

For the first time, the University of Turin funds 38 two-year scholarships to international students "Talents 4 UniTo" interested in enrolling in the first year of a postgraduate degree program without restricted number of
places, held in English, for the a.y. 2025-2026.
Total amount of the scholarship value: 20,000 euros (gross amount).

The University of Turin funds 10 annual scholarships "UniTo for Students at Risk" for international students who are refugees and holding:
- a residence permit for international protection
- a residence permit for temporary protection
- a residence permit for reasons of special protection, for another form of protection under current Italian immigration regulations.
The scholarships are reserved to the above-mentioned categories of international students who wish to enroll for the first time in the academic year 2024-2025 in the first year of studies of a degree program without a fixed quota of places (not requiring to pass an admission test).
Scholarship value: gross amount of 11.000,00 euros.

EDISU Piemonte, the Regional Agency for the Right to Education of Piedmont, awards scholarships and other grants to students who are enrolled in a Piedmontese University and meet the economic and merit requirements specified in the competition notices.

The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) awards scholarships to foreign citizens not residing in Italy and Italian citizens living abroad (IRE) in order to foster international cultural, scientific and technological cooperation, to promote Italian language and culture and to support Italy’s economic system in the world.
Scholarships are offered to carry out study, training and research projects in Italian Higher Education Institutes.
