Scholarships for international students

10 scholarships for international students "UniTo for Students at Risk" - a.y. 2023-2024

The University of Turin funds 10 annual scholarships "UniTo for Students at Risk" for international students who are refugees and holding:

  • a residence permit for temporary protection
  • a residence permit for international protection
  • a residence permit for reasons of special protection, for another form of protection under current Italian immigration regulations.

The scholarships are reserved to the above-mentioned categories of international students who wish to enroll for the first time in the academic year 2023-2024 in the first year of studies of a degree program without a fixed quota of places (not requiring to pass an admission test).

 
Scholarship value: gross amount of 9.600,00 euros.

University corridors for refugees - UNICORE 6.0 - a.a. 2024-2025

For the a.y. 2024-2025 the University of Turin joins for the third time UNICORE project.

 

The aim of the UNICORE 6.0 project is to promote the right to higher education for refugees, through the creation of university corridors from Kenya, Mozambique, Niger, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe to Italy.

 

UNICORE 6.0 is supported by a consortium of international, national and local partners, including the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI), the University of Turin and other Italian universities.

 

The University of Turin funds 2 two-year scholarships including monetary (14,000 euro) and service benefits to international students who are refugees in Kenya, Mozambique, Niger, Nigeria, South Africa, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe and interested in enrolling for the a.y. 2024-2025 in the first year of one of the postgraduate degree programs without a restricted number of places and held in English.

Scholarships awarded by EDISU Piemonte

EDISU Piemonte, the Regional Agency for the Right to Education of Piedmont, awards scholarships and other grants to students who are enrolled in a Piedmontese University and meet the economic and merit requirements specified in the competition notices.

Scholarships awarded by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI)

The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) awards scholarships to foreign citizens not residing in Italy and Italian citizens living abroad (IRE) in order to foster international cultural, scientific and technological cooperation, to promote Italian language and culture and to support Italy’s economic system in the world.

 

Scholarships are offered to carry out study, training and research projects in Italian Higher Education Institutes.

Scholarships for students with international protection status

The Italian Ministry of Interior offers 100 scholarships to students with international protection status to enrol in undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs as well as PhD programs in Italian universities.
