Past projects
The University of Turin funds 10 annual scholarships "UniTo for Students at Risk" for international students who are refugees and holding:
- a residence permit for temporary protection
- a residence permit for international protection
- a residence permit for reasons of special protection, for another form of protection under current Italian immigration regulations.
The scholarships are reserved to the above-mentioned categories of international students who wish to enroll for the first time in the academic year 2023-2024 in the first year of studies of a degree program without a fixed quota of places (not requiring to pass an admission test).
Scholarship value: gross amount of 9.600,00 euros.

For the a.y. 2023-2024 University of Turin joins for the second time UNICORE project.
The aim of the UNICORE 5.0 project is to promote the right to higher education for refugees, through the creation of university corridors from Kenya, Niger, Nigeria, South Africa, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe to Italy.
UNICORE 5.0 is supported by a consortium of international, national and local partners, including the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI), University of Turin and other Italian universities.
The University of Turin funds 2 two-year scholarships including monetary (20,000 euro) and service benefits to international students who are refugees in Kenya, Niger, Nigeria, South Africa, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe and interested in enrolling for the a.y. 2023-2024 in the first year of one of the postgraduate degree programs without restricted number of places and held in English.

The University of Turin funds 20 annual scholarships "UniTo for Students at Risk" for international students who are refugees and are:
- primarily coming from Ukraine and holding a residence permit for temporary or international protection
- coming from Afghanistan and holding a residence permit for international protection
- coming from other countries and holding a residence permit for international protection.
The scholarships are reserved to the above-mentioned categories of international students who wish to enroll in the academic year 2022-2023 in the first year of studies of an undergraduate degree program, one long cycle degree program and postgraduate degree program without a fixed quota of places (not requiring to pass an admission test).
Scholarship value: gross amount of 9600,00 euros.
The University of Turin funds 20 scholarships for international students from Ukraine, applying for temporary protection in Italy, who enroll in the academic year 2021-2022 in the Foundation Programme (60 ECTS= 60 CFU) or at least in two single courses related to postgraduate degree programs without a restricted number of places, offered by the University of Turin.
Scholarship value: gross amount of 1,000 euros.
