Are there scholarships for international students?

Yes, there are different the scholarship opportunities offered to international students.

 

To know more about our tuition system visit the Tuition Fees page. As you will see, you can either pay based on your ISEE calculation (your financial situation) or the GDP pro capita of your country. Please, regularly check the dedicated webpage for updated information.

I find calls for years that are now past. Will be there a notice for competition for next year as well?

If the calls are now closed, you should wait for the next one. We suggest  to periodically check the dedicated web page: Scholarships for international students.

Does the university provide scholarships for refugees or with international protection status students?

Yes, it does. Regularly check the dedicated webpage and pay attention to the academic year of your interest: Scholarships for international students.

For the a.y. 2022-2023, the University of Turin funded 20 annual scholarships "UniTo for Students at Risk" for international students who are refugees and are:

  • primarily coming from Ukraine and holding a residence permit for temporary or international protection
  • coming from Afghanistan and holding a residence permit for international protection
  • coming from other countries and holding a residence permit for international protection

Any update on a new notice of competition will be published on the dedicated webpage.

 

In cooperation with UNHCR, the University of Turin for the a.y. 2023-2024 will offer some scholarships to refugee students who meet specific requirements.

The call for application will be published on  Scholarships for international students web page.

 

Also the Italian Ministry of Interior yearly offers 100 scholarships to students with international protection status. Regularly check CRUI website for constant updates.

Are there scholarships available for Ukrainian students?

The University of Turin promotes a set of actions for Ukrainian and international students enrolled in degree programs of the University facing financial difficulties due to the Ukrainian international crisis. Are there scholarships available for Afghan students?

For the a.y. 2021-2022 the University of Turin funded 10 scholarships to Afghan students interested in enrolling at UniTo.

I won a MAECI scholarship. Can I enroll?

If you’re a winner for the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) scholarship, you can enroll in UniTo only if you have followed all the procedures within the deadlines reported on the International degree seeking students web page.

Can I apply for China Scholarship Council (CSC)?

If you are interested in CSC scholarship you can find all the information on China Scholarship Council (CSC) web page.

Are there additional support services for refugees or international protection holders?

Yes, the University of Turin provides additional support for those candidates during the application process (Enrolment for students with international protection and asylum seekers) and also throughout your academic path thanks to the Mentorship project.
