Enrolment procedure and documentation
You must follow the procedure that is explained on the Enrolment for international students web page.
The procedure depends on the degree program you want to enroll in.
The Italian fiscal code or tax identification code (codice fiscale in Italian) is a very important document, used by the Public Administration, to identify the citizens living in Italy. Check the dedicated webpage Tax identification code to know more about it.
For further information, check the website of Agenzia delle Entrate.
To obtain a residence permit for study purposes you will first need to get a study Visa and have reached Turin. Application for the permit must be sent within 8 working days from the arrival in Italy. For further information: Residence permit.
When you complete the procedure, the post office (after receiving the filled application form and the required documents), provides you with a receipt. You have to send the receipt to [email protected] as soon as you get it. Even if you have not yet obtained a residence permit, you can be enrolled if you at least send us the receipt. To receive assistance during the residence permit request, please contact our administrative support office for residence permit matters at [email protected].
To finalize your enrolment you are required to provide:

You can consider finalized your enrollment if you have sent all the documentation requested, we have notified you by email that you’re able to proceed with the payment of the enrollment fee, you’ve paid the fee and your status on MyUniTo is "student" (no more "Prospective student").
Normally, during the enrolment period (September-October) an enrolment support desk is opened to support international students with the enrolment procedure. For further information check the section called "Enolment" in the dedicated webpages: Non-EU requesting a Visa and EU, equivalents, non-EU residing in Italy.
If you need to book an appointment during other periods, you should know that appointments are given only for particular and specific situations. You can contact us by telephone at +39 011 6704452.
