Enrollment in a degree course with career shortening
If you already hold an academic degree and intend to enroll in a degree program at the same level or lower than the degree you hold (undergraduate degrees, one-long cycle degree programme, post-graduate degrees), you can enroll using the “Career shortening” type.
You can enroll with career shortening in degree course with free admission from July 25th, 2025 and by 3:00 p.m. on October 20th, 2025 (for undergraduate degree and one-long cycle degree programme) and from July 25th, 2025 and by 3:00 p.m. on January 18th, 2026 (for postgraduate degree courses).
Here are the instructions:
1. register for the portal following the instructions on the Portal registration instructions page
2. register for the course: from the “Enrollment” menu of MyUniTo select “Enrollment,” choosing “Career Abbreviation”
3. pay the university fee (according to the provisions of the Fees and Contributions Regulations) available within MyUniTo by selecting the item “Fees”
4. upload within MyUniTo the required attachments and any forms related to the recognition of exams taken in the previous university career: from the “Enrollments” menu of MyUniTo select the item “Career Attachments”
The career shortening will be finalized when the Student registry office has received from the relevant offices the resolution with information on the year of admission and any validation of exams already taken.
For career shortening to a post-graduate degree course, check in advance on the website the admission criteria and verify the curricular requirements.
To enroll with “career shortening” you do not have to take the TOLC and no additional educational obligations (OFAs) will be assigned by the course of study.
Check previously on the websites of the courses if you have the requirements that allow you not to take the TOLC.
Enrollment for "career shortening" towards a degree course with a quota of places follows the timelines and procedures for enrolling in the course you want to enroll in, for which you should also refer to the dedicated sections of the portal:
