The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) brings together leading higher education institutions, research labs and companies to form dynamic cross-border partnerships - Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs) - that develop innovative products and services, start new companies and train a new generation of entrepreneurs.
EIT Food programmes for advanced education aim to help you become part of a highly-qualified, innovative, entrepreneurial, integrated and resilient European food system workforce. Develop new skills and keep up-to-date with our programmes directed at students and professionals at all stages of their career in the food system.
All programmes are innovative, multidisciplinary, challenge-based and practical. Specifically, they develop core competences in the areas of Food Systems, Digital literacy, Technology management, Problem-solving, Critical thinking, Leadership and Management, Entrepreneurship and Communication.

Postgraduate degree program in Food System developed to train the leaders of the future. Organised by leading academic institutions and industrial partners from across the EITFood Partner network, the programme encourages students to drive a future transformation of the food system.

The programme aims to create highly talented and entrepreneurial PhDs that will catalyze transformations in the agri-food sector, raising their awareness of the current food issues and challenges with a practical learning approach. The main focus areas include: entrepreneurial and critical thinking; business development; industry involvement and engagement with a pan-European network.

The RIS PD is a multidimensional educational program run by EIT Food, created to up-skill as well as to re-skill the farmers, SMEs employees, and young professionals, considered to be the game changers of the food sector in their regions.

The goal of the program is to empower talents to co-create and gain hands-on experience with innovative ideas, advancing their careers while developing solutions to global food challenges. The participants get the chance to develop an innovative idea to significantly impact the food system's regenerative, inclusive and positive growth

From 2018 to 2024, the University of Turin has been involved in 94 projects funded by EIT Food, in all functional areas, becoming a reliable partner for the consortium.
