Important information about TOLC tests

The TOLC test must be taken before matriculation and can also be taken before completing high school.
Check this page frequently for all updates on deadlines relating to the various study courses.

You can take the same TOLC several times but no more than once a month.
If you repeat the TOLC several times, the score of the last TOLC taken (not the one with the best result) will be taken into account for the admission procedure.
You can take different kind of TOLC, even within the same month.

Once you have finalized your registration, the scores obtained in TOLC taken afterwards will no longer be taken into account.

Check the test calendar to know the available dates. The calendar is constantly updating.

The TOLC can also be taken on dates organized by other Universities.

You can enrol until all available seats are taken.

Do not wait until the last days, take the TOLC test for the course/s of interest as soon as possible.

Those who are not required to take the TOLC test

You are not required to take the TOLC test if:

  • you have taken an admission test at the University of Turin (by taking the TOLC or another University test) and you have been placed on one of the ranking list for courses with a restricted number of places, but you decide to enrol on a course with free admission (consult the instructions in the following paragraph "Information for those who have taken an admission test at the University of Turin and have been placed on one of the ranking list for courses with a restricted number of places")
  • you changed course of study within the University of Turin
  • you are applying for an incoming transfer (from another University)
  • you are simultaneously enrolling in two courses (you are already enrolled in a course at the University of Turin, and you are applying for another course at the University of Turin) and have previously taken the same type of TOLC as an admission requirement
  • you already have a university degree (short career).

In case of admission to the first year, you will be given OFA (Additional Educational Obligations) imposed by your chosen course of study, unless you have taken the same TOLC required by your chosen course and obtained a score higher than the minimum threshold established for the attribution of OFA.

In case of admission to years after the first, there are no OFA.

If you already have a university degree, there are no OFA.
