The Ministry of University and Research has announced the date of the admission test for the 6-year postgraduate degree course in Medicine and Surgery (in English):

From 2nd to 12th September 2024, candidates will register for the admission test exclusively through the procedure on the Universitaly portal. During enrolment, candidates are required to register on the Universitaly portal indicating their e-mail address and to provide, in order of preference, the university seats for which they intend to take the test and the possession, if present, of one of the language certifications envisaged by Ministerial Decree no. 1133 of 06/08/2024.
If applicants wish to take the test at an Italian seat, the first option automatically constitutes the seat where the test will be taken. No exceptions to the location of the test are allowed. These options are irrevocable from 3 p.m. (GMT+2) on 12th September 2024, the closing date for registration. This procedure is compulsory in order to take part in the test, otherwise candidates will be excluded from it. If candidates intend to take the test abroad, they must also indicate a foreign seat among those listed in table A attached to the ministerial decree.
Enrolment is completed after payment of the test fee in accordance with the procedures indicated on the Universitaly portal. Enrolment in the degree course in Medicine and Surgery, Dentistry and Orthodontics in English is determined according to the candidates' position in the merit ranking list based on the marks they have obtained, as well as according to the places allocated to the various universities during the planning stage and the preferences expressed by the candidates during enrolment.
Candidates from non-EU countries resident abroad who intend to take the admission test to enrol at the University of Turin must also:
- register on the University portal, if they do not have UniTo credentials yet. To register on UniTo follow the procedure on the page Instructions for registering on the portal
- pre-enrol between 2nd and 12th September 2024 by 3.00 p.m. (Italian time) in the dedicated competition by accessing MyUniTo by following the path: “Iscrizioni / Pre-iscrizioni ad accesso programmato” (Enrolment / Pre-enrolment with restricted number of places) and selecting the competition 6-postgraduate degree programme in Medicine and Surgery - Reserved for non-EU candidates residing abroad requiring a visa or participating in the Marco Polo Programme.
Non-EU citizens residing abroad who require a study visa must also submit a pre-enrolment application on the Universitaly portal by 12th September 2024. This pre-enrolment does not replace the application for the admission test and the pre-enrolment for the admission competition. Failure to submit it automatically excludes the candidate from the competition procedures described in the admission notice.

The admission test will take place on Tuesday 17th September 2024, at 11 a.m.
For the University of Turin, it will take place at the "Lingotto Fiere", with the entry from Via Nizza 280 (map).
Candidates must show up on the day of the test, observing the convocation hours and the procedures that will be later published, in compliance with ministerial indications.
The merit ranking list for non-EU students requiring a study visa has been published with repertory number no. 5411. Check from MyUniTo if you are admitted and if you wish to confirm your enrolment fill in the enrolment application form by following the path: Iscrizioni > Iscrizione within 4 days, including the day of the sliding of the ranking list and excluding Saturdays and public holidays without exceptions no later than 3:00 p.m. (Italian time). After this time it will no longer be possible to access the online procedure.
If your status is Assegnato (Assigned) or Prenotato (Reserved)on the Universitaly portal and you wish to complete your enrolment for the University of Turin, fill in the enrolment application form from your MyUniTo by following the path: "Iscrizioni>> Iscrizione" (Enrolment> Enrolment) within 4 days, including the day of the sliding of the ranking list and excluding Saturdays and public holidays without exceptions no later than 3:00 p.m. (after this time it will no longer be possible to access the online procedure).
Before enrolling, only candidates from EU and non-EU countries (referred to in article 39, par. 5, of legislative decree no. 286 of 1998, as modified by article 26, par. 1, of law no. 189 of 2002) who have taken the admission test at the University of Turin or at other locations and who, on the basis of the options expressed, will be Assegnati/Prenotati (Assigned/Reserved) at the University of Turin, must beforehand:
- register on the University portal, if they do not have UniTo credentials yet. To do this, if you are 18 years old and have Italian citizenship, you need SPID credentials, which you can obtain, if you do not have them yet, by following the indications described on the SPID website (the process for obtaining SPID is not immediate, so we advise you to do it as soon as possible). To register on UniTo you must follow the procedure described on the page Portal registration instructions
- pre-enrol for the dedicated competition by accessing MyUniTo by following the path: "Iscrizioni / Pre-iscrizioni ad accesso programmato" (Enrolment/ Pre-enrolment in a degree with a restricted number of places) and selecting the competition “6-year degree programme in Medicine and Surgery - Reserved for EU and non-EU candidates resident in Italy
- enrol for the course, by the deadline.
During the compilation you must upload the following documents:
- one photo, which will be displayed on your university Smart Card;
- one photocopy of a valid identification document;
- one photocopy of the tax identification number (codice fiscale).

At the end of the online application process print out the application form.
The modalities for accepting the place and providing the payment reserved for students holding a foreign qualification will be published on the university portal in the dedicated section: Iscrizione per studenti internazionali and International degree seeking students.
- Students with the status “Assegnato” (Assigned) who do not confirm their enrolment by the deadline will be excluded from the ranking list.
- Students with the status “Prenotato” (Reserved) who do not confirm their enrolment are not excluded from the ranking list and may wait for the next sliding of the ranking list. Instead, if the reserved candidate enrols, all other preferences expressed are automatically cancelled.
In your MyUniTo, Tasse (Taxes) section, you will find the payment notice and due date.
The enrolment is completed with the payment of the first instalment of tuition fees: the payment must be made by the indicated due date. Payment made - for whatever reason - after the indicated due date will result in the loss of entitlement to the place.
Log in your MyUniTo and from the menu "Iscrizioni" (Enrolment) select the item "Allegati carriera” (Career attachments) and attach the following documents by the deadline:
- application form fully filled in and signed
- invoice of payment of the first instalment of the university contribution
- a copy of the vaccination certificate with formal legalisation (where required*) and official translation into Italian, with the exception of documentation issued in English (the vaccination certificate must contain, as standard and unless otherwise specified, the mandatory vaccinations for Italy: polio, diphtheria, tetanus, hepatitis B, measles, rubella)
- a copy of the certification of the tuberculin test carried out using the Mantoux technique, at the ASL of residence or at the competent health office in the country of residence or, as an alternative, the report of a lymphocyte/QuantiferonTM stimulation test.
Countries that have signed the Hague Convention of 5 October 1961 on the abolition of the legalisation of foreign public documents, the need to legalise acts and documents issued by foreign authorities is replaced by another formality: the affixing of the '"apostille".
If, while completing enrolment, the student admitted to the first year of the course has not provided this documentation yet, the student must enclose a substitutive declaration of affidavit in the online procedure concerning the commitment to provide the required documentation by uploading it in the online procedure or by sending it via the help desk service, within 30 days from the date of enrolment, to the relevant Students Registry Office Section (Polo Medicina Torino - C.so Massimo d'Azeglio, 60 - 10126 Torino)
Students with disabilities or with specific learning disorders who wish to take the test must send their certification by email to [email protected], by the test registration deadline, indicating the specific aids required.

Please note that certifications of SEN (Special Educational Needs) do not allow the request for support, as they are not recognised by current university regulations.
The University Boards responsible for assessing these certifications shall verify that the documentation submitted certifies a disability or SLD condition that entitles the applicant to the required supports.
Applicants with disabilities or SLDs residing abroad must submit certification issued in their country of residence attesting their diagnosis recognised by Italian law. Certificates issued in a foreign language require a sworn translation into Italian or English.
Applicants with a disability certification in accordance with Italian Law n°104/92 and subsequent amendments and integrations, or a disability certification with a percentage of 50% or more, must indicate, when submitting their online application on the University portal, the need for special aids during the admission test and/or additional time (not exceeding 50%), if necessary.
Applicants with a Specific Learning Disorders (SLD) certification in accordance with Law 170/2010 must indicate, when submitting their online application on the University portal, their needs, which may include:
- additional time (not exceeding 30%) for taking the test
- non-scientific calculator
- a reader who will read out the test questions to the candidate
- video magnifier (a reader may be provided as an alternative).
Any other tools, such as, for example: dictionary and/or vocabulary; formulary; periodic table of elements; conceptual map; personal computer, tablet, smartphone, etc., are not allowed.
