The Federations

UniTo is part of the IdeM, Eduroam and eduGAIN federations. The purpose of these federations is to share an infrastructure for the authentication of their members.

This allows, for example, members of a federated university to access the online services of other federated organisations using their own credentials, without having to request additional credentials from the host organisation.
