Walking around
- Piazza Castello: it is the most central square of the city, in which both beautiful Palazzo Madama and Palazzo Reale are set. The main streets of the city, such as via Roma, via Po and via Garibaldi converge here.
- Piazza Vittorio Veneto: it lies next to the river. From here, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the hills around the city.
- Piazza San Carlo: entirely pedestrianized, it is surrounded by historical cafés dating back to the 19th century.
- Piazza Carignano: the best example of Baroque influence in Torino.
There is a number of smaller and lesser known squares, hidden all over the historical center of the city. Very much appreciated by locals, unknown to non-locals, they are charming and quiet places, very representative of Torino’s beauty: Piazza Bodoni, Piazza Cavour, Piazza Carlina, Piazza Solferino.
Valentino Park, the Medieval Castle and the Botanical garden: lying along the west bank of the Po river, it is a beautiful place where to enjoy nature and have the feeling to be away from the city.
