Intercomprehension for Specific Purposes: Tourism in Rural Areas
Intercomprehension (IC) is a communicative approach that leverages the learner's knowledge of one language within a linguistic family (in this case, the Romance family) to facilitate comprehension of others. This method emphasizes receptive skills, allowing learners to use their knowledge of one language to understand and engage with related languages.
This BIP specifically focuses on IC in the context of Language for Specific Purposes (LSP): Tourism in Rural Areas.
Activities include consolidating IC principles and applying them to multilingual and multicultural tourism contexts.
Students will explore video recordings, simulations and interactive tasks tailored to the theme.
