Peer-to-peer tutor for students with SLD

Who carries out this job?

This service is carried out by students who won the specific grant. The aim is to favour the learning processes and the full participation in the educational activities.

Typology of tutoring

The tutor can support you in the following activities:

  • taking notes during lessons
  • planning the study, the educational materials and preparing the exams
  • reading out texts or other teaching materials, when it is not available the use of speech readers (dedicated software, audio book etc.) autonomously
  • support with administrative obligations (ex. study plan compilation, booking exams etc.) and familiarize with the university environment (ex. recover teaching and/or administrative information)
How to request it

In order to request the service, fill in the tutor request form and send it to the Office through email, to the address [email protected]; the assignment of a tutor occurs normally within 15 days from the reception of the email. If you want the tutor to take notes for you, remember to send the form at least 15 days before the start of the courses that you want to attend. An incomplete or belated form implies the impossibility to benefit from the service.

The identification of the tutor and the related time of the service assignment depend on the availability of the students in the specific ranking.

 

The total amount of hours of the educational tutoring assigned to each individual is subject to the available resources and to the evaluated necessity.

 

Examinations are required for continuity of service.
