ERC Lab at UniTo

ERC Lab@UniTo

European Research Council (ERC) intends to encourage high quality research in Europe through competitive funding and to support investigator-driven frontier research across all fields, on the basis of scientific excellence. It provides support to European leadership in world-class research.

Any individual researcher of any nationality with a promising or excellent track record and a brilliant research idea is eligible to apply. Scientific excellence is the sole selection criterion. Projects in all fields of research are eligible for funding. Individual research teams lead by a single principal investigator are supported.

Check types of ERC grants and verify your eligibility on ERC website:

  • ERC Starting grant (2-7 years of experience after PhD)
  • ERC Consolidator grant (over 7-12 years of experience since completion of PhD)
  • ERC Advanced grant (any age, 10 years track-record)
  • ERC Synergy Grant

The UniTo Research Promotion Unit is the creator and coordinator of the ERC Lab @UniTo programme, which supports the preparation of proposals for the ERC - European Research Council Grants. The programme involves research talents of our University at different stages of their career as candidates for the Starting, Consolidator and Advanced calls.
