IRIS AperTO – UniTo open access institutional archive
The University of Turin collects all the research products of its community in the institutional archive called IRIS-AperTO. It is an open access repository that collects and gives access to bibliographic information and, in accordance with the copyright policies of publishers, to the full texts of scientific products, based on the principle that results of publicly funded research must be available to all.
The institutional archive is accessible to all users, without logging in, to search for research products of the UniTo community.
The archive can be updated by all those who contribute to the scientific production in UniTO: professors, researchers, research fellows, PhDs, collaborators, technical staff.
IRIS-AperTO is the reference database for:
- dissemination of the research results to external audiences
- open access consultation of research products
- national and internal evaluation procedures regarding research activities
- presentation of research results as a form of accountability
- monitoring scientific production for strategic, planning and quality assurance purposes
