The Fuori Campo festival takes place from Monday 3rd March to Thursday 15th May 2025: a series of documentaries by women filmmakers from the southern shore of the Mediterranean exploring the relationship between history and memory through the gaze and experiences of women from different generations.

The Fuori Campo festival offers a unique interdisciplinary opportunity to reflect on the power of visual storytelling, shedding light on new perspectives on identity, language, and individual and collective experiences. The selected films address crucial themes such as the impact of conflicts, colonial legacies, migration, and their influence on family and social dynamics.

Films in the original language with subtitles, many of which have been produced in collaboration with the continuing education program in Translation for Cinema, Television, and Multimedia Publishing at the University of Turin and COREP.

The event is open to the general public and the student community. A must-attend opportunity to discover a research-based cinema that provides new insights into the complexities of the contemporary world.

The festival is organized within the framework of the UNITA Starting Grant Project titled “Decolonizing Women’s History: Collecting Archives and Oral Histories”, coordinated by Prof. Silvia Bruzzi.
