2nd International Biennial Symposium on Forensic Dentistry for Human Rights

The 2nd International Biennial Symposium on Forensic Dentistry for Human Rights, organised by the Association Forensic Odontology for Human Rights (AFOHR), in collaboration with the section of Forensic Medicine of the University of Turin, will take place in Turin from 12th to 14th October 2023, focusing on the theme of challenges in human identification.

The symposium brings together internationally recognised experts in forensic dentistry and anthropology international level, who will deliver lectures and workshops focusing on the latest scientific research, innovative technologies and best practices in the field of personal identification and humanitarian forensics.

The symposium programme also includes interactive sessions, case study presentations and a panel discussion that will conclude with the approval of the "Turin Declaration on Humanitarian Forensic Odontology", after debate and discussion to identify strategies
innovative strategies to address the challenges in human forensic identification. 

Participants from academic institutions, international organisations, investigative agencies, and human rights professionals and activists will be present.

The Forensic Odontology for Human Rights Association and the Forensic Medicine Section of the University of Turin are committed to promoting research, training and collaboration in the field of forensic dentistry to ensure the protection of human rights.
