Registration for the 2021 Just the Woman I Am "Virtual edition" is open
The new edition of Just the woman I am is scheduled for March 7th 2021 and it will be a virtual one.
This event is held by the University Sport Center of Turin in partnership with the University of Turin and the Politecnico of Turin and has been supporting gender equality, sport and the colture of well being, prevention and inclusion for the past 7 years.
The 2021 edition of JTWIA wants to spread the color pink all over Italy.
In order to partecipate in the event, each runner/walker will have to safely complete the usual 5 km distance choosing a personal route anywhere in Italy from 7 am to 8 pm anytime between March 7th and March 14th 2021.
With this virtual edition we want to engage as many people as possible all around Italy : woman and men, sport addicted or not, children and adults, Italian and foreigners. It will be a great and original sport experience but also a tool to support the university research, prevention and healthy life style.
Donations start from €20 and include: the event t-shirt, the welcome bag, the race bib and shipment cost.
If you want to live this experience with a virtual team you can customize the t-shirt (with the logo and one color at your choosing) with at least 20 members per team. To do that, send an email within February 10th 2021 at [email protected] writing your team name.
During this virtual edition of JTWIA, the 2020 edition will be resumed. All the people who have registered for the 2020 edition will receive a specific communication that will give them all the info to partecipate to the new edition.
Once you sign up to the event, the city where you start the walk/run will be added with a marker in a map of Italy created in our official website www.torinodonna.it.
After the walk/run each partecipant will be able to share his experience and how he has supported the research by posting a photo (within 12.00 am of Monday, March 14th 2021) on the social media with the hashtag #torinodonna2021 #justthewomaniam2021 #sceglidinonmancare.
Last but not least, the University system has organized the "UniTO-PoliTO conference series in cancer" with funds raised through the events since 2016. The 3rd Scientific Congress with ECM credits named Nanoscience in cancer immunotherapy will be held from March 9th to March 11th 2021.
During the evening of March 8th 2021, to inaugurate the Congress, the show "Le Donne della scienza- Woman of science" organized by the University of Turin, the Politecnico of Turin and the University sport center of Turin, will be broadcast on streaming.
Saturday, March 6th 2021 will be dedicated to the virtual square thanks to a full program of webinar about prevention. These webinars (30 minutes each including 10 min for questions) will be held from 10 am to 1 pm and from 3 pm to 6 pm and they will be free and open to everybody upon reservation.
