Online course "Museums and Society". Classes start on 15th November 2018

Within the international project EDUU (Education and Cultural Heritage Enhancement for Social Cohesion in Iraq), the online course Museums and Society starts on 15th November 2018. The course is organised by the Department of Historical Studies of the University of Turin and the University of Bologna.

This course will provide users with concepts concerning collections management, exhibition design, communication techniques and much more. Despite of the course title, the topics are applicable not only to museums, but to all kinds of cultural institutions of any size and type.

The “Museums and Society” course is organized in 4 weeks: week 1, 2 and 3 provide students with theoretical concepts, while week 4 presents a more practical case study of museum renovation.

No prerequisite knowledge is required. The course entails quizzes that will be evaluated. In order to receive the final certificate of course attendance, users have to pass all the quizzes.

The Certificate of Accomplishment will be released to anyone who successfully completed the course by answering correctly to at least 60% of the questions by the end of the edition.
