Italian language course for students holding a foreign title

Thursday, 27 July 2017

The University of Torino wants to help all its international students holding a foreign title in improving their knowledge of Italian language.

Students enrolling for the first time on an Italian-taught first cycle degree or one-long-cycle degree offered by our University who gained their high school diploma abroad or in a foreign-system school in Italy, will be required to take an Italian language test. Students, who will not pass the minimum mark required by the test, will have to attend an Italian language course. Such course is mandatory and completely free of charge. The course aims at improving international students’ Italian skills and proficiency, thus allowing them to attend classes satisfactorily. Only students who already successfully enrolled in our University will be offered the course.
In case of students enrolling for the first time on an Italian-taught second cycle degree offered by our University, their knowledge of Italian language will be verified during the admission interview.
