Inventor Boot camp: applications are open!

The Inventor Boot camp takes place from 21st September to 1st October 2018 at Fatlab in Turin (via Giuseppe Giacosa, 38).

 

Inventor is a 10-day prototyping bootcamp in a makerspace for university students who are passionate about technology. The program is aimed at all university students, from the bachelors to the masters, to the doctorates, who are prototyping and making enthusiasts and is conducted in a makerspace.

Participants are divided into teams with diverse skills and supported by mentors and experts in the field of making, innovation and entrepreneurship, experiment with the ideation, prototyping and presentation of a business idea.
All participants learn to use tools such as 3D printers, laser cutting machines, basic programming boards and get free access to the makerspace for one entire year.

 

In the design phase, the makers are supported in the process of ideation and creating a business idea using models from design thinking, lean startup and agile tech framework.
For the development of their prototypes, the inventors have access to all the manufacturing technologies of a makerspace and to a tech library composed of the main high-tech gadgets.
Finally, in the presentation phase, the teams are accompanied by mentors and coaches in creating the pitch and the final presentation.
At the end of the course the ideas and prototypes realized by each team are presented during a demo day to a jury of experts in the field of entrepreneurship and innovation.

 

The program is open to all university students and PhD’s enrolled at the University of Turin and the Politecnico of Turin.
