Erasmus Mundus Action 2 – Strand 1 – Lot 2: the call for application is open

The call for application for Hermes project is open.

The main objective is to develop training and scientific exchanges between European and the Middle East higher education institutions resulting in a strong sustainable contribution to the construction of a Euro-Mediterranean Higher Education and Research Area. The specific objectives are to:

• develop a sustainable international cooperation between the partner universities by facilitating students and staff exchanges on the north and east of the Mediterranean sea
• develop higher education teaching and learning capacity through the transfer of know-how and the exchange of best practices
• develop the networking of research laboratories in order to promote research and innovation
• promote mutual enrichment and intercultural understanding
• contribute to improving the employability of the individuals by giving them the appropriate skills as regards to the labour market and an international experience in the context of globalisation
• help in the development of transparent and fair educational systems and the compatibility between institutions (mutual recognition of qualifications and periods of study)

The partnership will manage mobility flows between Europe and the Middle East for a range of academic levels – undergraduate, master, doctorate, post-doctorate – and for staff. The participants will receive mobility grants for the length of their stay.
