Cooperation agreements

The University of Turin cooperates with international universities and institutions to develop joint research and education activities and foster professors and students exchange programs.

 

Today UniTo is involved in over 500 formal agreements with Universities in 80 countries all over the world and in several international networks.

 

Through the map, it is possible to view all existing agreements and learn essential information about the partnerships.

Types of agreements
  • Memorandum of understanding: cooperation agreement of general interest, signed by the University of Turin and one or more foreign institutions, on a proposal from the Rector, the Vice Rector for Internationalisation or during institutional meetings. It is aimed at establishing a first institutional contact in order to strengthen cultural and scientific relations and to lay the foundations for following cooperation agreements.
  • Framework Agreement for Scientific Cooperation: cooperation agreement of general interest, signed by the University of Turin and one or more foreign institutions, on a proposal from a Department, a School or a Research centre, aiming at promoting collaboration in specific scientific/disciplinary field(s).
  • Specific agreements for the mobility:
    • Specific Agreement of Academic Cooperation for Students’ Mobility: signed in order to regulate procedures for students’ exchange (except the Erasmus+ agreements) between UniTo and partner University Departments or degree courses.
    • Specific Agreement of Academic Cooperation for Teaching Staff and Researchers’ Mobility: signed in order to regulate procedures for Teaching Staff and Researchers’ exchange (except the Erasmus+ agreements) between UniTo and partner University departments or degree courses.
    • Specific Agreement of Academic Cooperation for the Mobility of Teaching Staff, Researchers, Students, Technical and Administrative Staff: signed in order to regulate procedures for Teaching Staff, Researchers, Students, Technical and Administrative Staff exchange (except the Erasmus+ agreements) between UniTo and partner University Departments or degree courses.>
  • International degree - Agreement for structured mobility for students’ exchange with release of a double degree: agreement that offers the possibility to attend, through an incoming-outgoing mobility programme, an international degree course leading to a double/multiple degree (undergraduate, postgraduate, 5 or 6-year postgraduate degree).
  • International PhD: agreements aimed at enhancing career prospects and free movement of young researchers and at facilitating the recognition of degrees earned throughout the European Union.
