The conference "Unlocking plant resources for a sustainable future: from conservation to use" takes place on Monday 15th April 2024 at 4:30 p.m. at the Botanical Garden of Turin (viale Pier Andrea Mattioli, 25 - Torino).

 

The event is organised by the Italian Botanical Society, Piedmont and Aosta Valley Regional Section in collaboration with the Museum of Natural Sciences and the Botanical Garden of Turin.

 

The conference is curated by Prof. Tiziana Ulian (Department of Life Sciences and Systems Biology).

 

Participation in attendance entitles participants to a certificate valid for the recognition of fractions of training credits for UniTo students.

Tiziana Ulian

Tiziana Ulian holds the position of Associate Professor at the University of Turin, Italy, and she is a Senior Research Leader at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, UK.

 

With over 25 years of expertise, she focuses on applied plant ecology, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable development. She has extensive experience in project leadership and worked and travelled extensively in Latin America, Africa and the Mediterranean Region.

 

She holds a PhD from the Natural Resources Institute (NRI) at the University of Greenwich, UK, in collaboration with the University of Los Andes in Venezuela.
