The University of Turin renews its adhesion and support to the message of Fridays for Future, a movement of young people that wants to raise public awareness on the issue of global warming and urges respect for the commitments made by the countries with the Paris Agreement of COP21 of the UNFCCC to combat climate change.

As a concrete sign of its commitment to global warming, the University of Turin has decided to sign the Global Climate Emergency letter, coordinated by the Youth and Education Alliance of the UN Environment, which already sees the subscription of more than 160 universities and 45 networks.

In Turin, the appointment for the Third Global Strike was Friday 27 September 2019 in Piazza Statuto.

The University continues to carry out concrete actions for environmental sustainability , both through teaching and research activities, and through the UniToGO Green Office. It is also strengthening collaboration with national and international networks starting from the Network of Universities for Sustainable Development and its working group on climate.
