UniToGO for Global Strike for Future

15 March 2019
The University of Turin shares the message of the Fridays for Future movement born from the initiative of Greta Thunberg, a 16-year-old girl who has been protesting every Friday in front of the Swedish Parliament since last August to raise public awareness and call for respect for the commitments made by countries with the Paris Agreement of COP21 of the UNFCCC to combat climate change .

For this reason it promotes information to the entire university community on the Global Strike for Future which takes place on 15th March 2019, a day in which thousands of students and young people from all over the world are expected to focus on the topic and ask for immediate interventions that allow them to "not steal their future".

In Turin the appointment for the parade is at 9.30 am in Piazza Arbarello.

The University of Turin intends to contribute to giving visibility to an initiative - virtuous and positive - born from very young and aimed at new generations and hopes that its students can take up the baton, becoming nodes of a national and international network of conscious information.

The University will continue on the path, already undertaken, of active commitment at various scales on environmental sustainability, also through the UniToGO Green Office, and in close collaboration with the Network of Universities for Sustainable Development and its working group on changes
Climate.
