UNITA Green Day: Become your own cyclist!
The UNITA Green Day: Become your own cyclist event dedicated to environmental sustainability will be held on 11th December 2024 at the Luigi Einaudi Campus (Lungo Dora Siena, 100, Torino), Aula E2, starting at 4:00 p.m.
The meeting is organised within the framework of the Task Team 5.3 "Green Sustainability" of the Alliance UNITA, which promotes parallel events in all Alliance Universities on the occasion of the International Mountain Day.
The UNITA Green Day aims to:
- raise awareness of the university community on the topic of environmental sustainability
- promote concrete actions and collaborations related to sustainable mobility and responsible resource management
- involve students, faculty and staff in innovative and participatory initiatives.

presentation of the UNITA European Alliance and the opportunities for students, PhDs and academic staff - UniToGO: actions to support sustainable mobility at the University
presentation of the initiatives promoted by the University through the Green Office Mobility Group and the Sustainability Area - UNITA Student Assembly: student community participation
the process of electing student representatives to the UNITA Student Assembly will be presented: an opportunity to reflect on the importance of active participation in university life, with a view to the next elections scheduled for March 2025 - Bike Pride: basic cycle workshop course and Association activities
three practical workshops in collaboration with FIAB Torino Bike Pride, to be held at the bicycle repair station near Campus Einaudi, in Viale Ottavio Mai. In these workshops, scheduled for spring 2025, people will be able to acquire the skills to properly maintain their bicycles and carry out small repairs (changing tyres, adjusting brakes, etc.).
Green Day is a unique opportunity to discover the University's initiatives in the environmental field, actively contribute to sustainability projects and create synergies with local associations such as FIAB Torino Bike Pride. Furthermore, the event will offer a moment of dialogue and discussion to strengthen the sense of community and university participation.
