Sacred Spaces and Sites of Memory in the Mountain Regions of Europe: Understanding, Safeguarding and Enhancing Cultural Heritage

On May 28th and 29th, 2025, the international conference Spazi sacri e luoghi di memorie nei territori montani d’Europa: conoscenza, tutela e valorizzazione del patrimonio culturale (“Sacred Spaces and Sites of Memory in the Mountain Regions of Europe: Understanding, Safeguarding, and Enhancing Cultural Heritage”) will be held in the Aula Magna of the Città Studi Campus in Biella (Corso G. Pella, 2b, Biella).

The conference will focus on the understanding, safeguarding and enhancement of cultural heritage, with particular attention to mountain areas.

Presentations will be given by speakers from the University of Turin as well as external experts.

The event is organized within the framework of the UNITA Starting Grants on Research on Tourism and Cultural Heritage in a Digital World program (2024–2025).
