The product theorem in Diophantine approximation by Professor Gerd Faltings

On 9th May 2018 at 9.00 am Professor Gerd Faltings (Max Planck Institute for Mathematics of Bonn) holds a lesson on "The product theorem in Diophantine approximation" at the Main Hall of the Department of Mathematics (via Carlo Alberto 10, Turin).
Abstract: the product theorem is a more geometric version of Roth's Lemma. We show how it can be used to investigate diophantine approximation on higher dimensional schemes (projective spaces and abelian varieties).
