From Wednesday 25th to Friday 27th May 2022, Turin will host Polymers 2022 - New Trends in Polymer Science: Health of the Planet, Health of the People, a conference whose organisers include the UniTo Department of Chemistry and brings together scientists from academia and industry to present cutting-edge research on the progress of polymer science and technology in all its main aspects, with a particular emphasis on those that aim to preserve and improve the health of the planet and of people.

Over the past 60 years, polymers have made an outstanding contribution to the development of modern society in every field. The substitution of traditional materials with tailored polymer systems in the most diverse applications has allowed us to overcome important technological challenges and improve the quality of life.
Today, however, polymeric materials face a new challenge: reconciling the technological progress and well-being of people with the preservation of the planet, from a circular economy perspective.

The purpose of the meeting is to bring together scientists from academia and industry to present leading-edge research on the advancements in polymer science and technology in all its main aspects, with a particular emphasis on those aiming to preserve and improve the health of the planet and of the people.
