The Mediterranean of the Future. Women’s Archives between Italy and North Africa

On Friday, June 6th 2025, in Via Vanchiglia 3, Turin, the event The Mediterranean of the Future. Women’s Archives between Italy and North Africa will take place as part of Archivissima – The Festival and the Night of the Archives.
Organized in collaboration with the Women’s Archive in Piedmont and the UNITA Starting Grant project Decolonizing Women’s History. Collecting Archives and Oral Histories", the event offers a space for dialogue between archives, memory, and women's perspectives within the Euro-Mediterranean context.
Speakers include: Elena Petricola (Women’s Archive in Piedmont), Silvia Bruzzi (University of Turin, UNITA project Decolonizing Women’s History: Collecting Archives and Oral Histories), Saadia Gacem and Awel Haouati (Archive des luttes des femmes en Algérie).
An open exchange between Italy and North Africa to rethink women’s history through sources, documents and oral testimonies.
