The conference Renovating Narratives: Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technologies in the Cultural Context of Slavic Studies will take place on February 20th-21st, 2025, online and in presence at the Department of Foreign Languages, Literatures and Modern Cultures of the University of Turin.

Artificial intelligence represents a largely unexplored frontier in the context of Slavic studies, a territory rich in potential but also in challenges. The conference aims to investigate how AI and, in general, modern digital technologies, are redefining languages, forms of communication and artistic expressions within the Slavic cultures. In this crucial phase of transition, it is essential to reflect on the potential future impacts, both positive and negative, of modern technologies on the evolution of the Slavic languages, literatures and cultures.

Plenary lectures will be given by Prof. Ranka Stanković (University of Belgrade) on 20th February, 2:45 p.m. at Terracini Degree Room, Palazzo Nuovo - Via Sant'Ottavio, 20 and by Prof. Daria Khitrova (Harvard University) on 21st February, 11:15 a.mLauree Hall of the Aldo Moro Complex - Via Verdi.

Participation is free of charge. The publication of the conference proceedings is expected.
