I-CONlangs22

On July 14th and 15th, 2022, I-CONlangs22 - International Conference on Constructed Languages, the first international conference on ConLangs (Constructed Languages, i.e. Artificial Languages), will be held at the Department of Foreign Languages, Literatures and Modern Cultures of the University of Turin. The lecture will be held at the Aldo Moro Building (via Verdi, Torino) and will be preceded (in the afternoon of July 13th) by a workshop given by Edouard Klozcko on the topic of the Elvish languages invented by Tolkien before he devoted himself to writing his "Lord of the Rings."

The International Constructed Languages Conference (I-CONlangs I, 2022) is a peer-reviewed international colloquium hosting significant contributions in all major fields of linguistics directly related to Constructed Languages, i.e. ConLangs.

I-CONlangs 2022 goal is to provide an international academic forum for sharing knowledge and results about theory, methodology and applications in the (currently under-researched) field of ConLang Studies.

It aims at interconnecting researchers and pioneers in Conlanging and ConLang Studies, providing an opportunity for academics and linguists in various fields to bridge this knowledge gap and promote research on the subject from a scientific perspective.

Participation in the conference is free and open to all students, while there is a fee for external auditors.
