Conflict Resolution and Refugee Politics: the European Union and the Middle East mired in governance complexity

On the occasion of the inaugural lesson of the postgraduate degree program in International Sciences 2024-2025, Tamirace Fakhoury (the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University) will hold a lecture on Conflict Resolution and Refugee Politics: the European Union and the Middle East mired in governance complexity. The event will take place on 20th March 2025, 4:00 p.m. at Campus Luigi Einaudi (Lungo Dora Siena, 100, Torino).

 

Tamirace Fakhoury is an Associate Professor of International Politics and Conflict at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, USA. Her research focuses on the dilemmas of peace and democratization in post-conflict societies, the politics of refuge and migration in conflict-affected areas, and the role of actors as the European Union and the United Nations in conflict and cooperation.
Before joining Fletcher, she was an Associate Professor of Political Science at Aalborg University, Denmark, and served as the visiting Kuwait Chair at Sciences Po in Paris (2020 2022). Tamirace holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Freiburg, Germany, and has conducted postdoctoral research at the European University Institute in Florence and the University of California, Berkeley.
