British-Italian partnership Programme for Research and Higher Education

The British Council Programme was established in 1990, following a more intensive partnership between CRUI (Conference of Italian University Rectors), Ministry of Education, University and Research and the British Council, in order to increase collaboration between research groups in Italy and United Kingdom.

Goals

The program aims at promoting the development of British-Italian scientific partnership through the support of researcher exchanges on a project basis, in a specific subject area.

Target

The program is open to any Universities and public research institutions encouraging partnership involving young researchers or other European partners that can offer a high added value.

How to participate

Every year the Italian CRUI and the British Council release a call for participation, to be made through submission of a project. A co-ordinator responsible for the application, managing of funding and any communication related to the project should be appointed within the group of researchers.

Eligible expenses

Requests for grants are intended to cover expenses related to mobility, which are costs of travel and stay for up to one calendar year.

Applications

Applications should be made using the form which has to be sent only by e-mail to the following address: [email protected] (do not send applications in hard copy). In any case it is needed a letter of intent signed by both Italian and English head of the project.
