New Master’s Program in Stochastics and Data Science

Merging the expertise of three Departments, the University of Turin launches a new Master’s Program in Stochastics and Data Science, entirely thought in English and starting from the academic year 2015-2016.

Inspired by the best programs in Data Science recently started in the USA and Europe, and currently the only offer of this type in Italy, this new "Laurea Magistrale" will provide students with a solid knowledge in key topics of Applied Mathematics, Probability, Statistics, Machine Learning and Computer Science. These are necessary tools for some of the leading job figures of the 21st century, that require to perform mathematical modelling under uncertainty (Stochastics) and to analyse high dimensional and complex datasets (Data Science) with a deep mathematical understanding of the underneath structures.
