Support for students with disability in taking exams
What it is
In order to take exams, it is possible to adapt study and assessment methods, in accordance with the provisions of Laws 104/92 and 17/99, while maintaining the learning objectives unchanged.
At university, for all assessment tests (exams, exemptions, etc.), it is possible to request, for example:
- conversion of written tests to oral tests (or vice versa)
- 50% additional time for written exams
- use of a PC for writing (to be agreed with the teacher)
- support in reading/writing
- LIS interpreter/mediator
- other aids/needs based on your certified difficulties (if you request concept maps/diagrams/forms, these must be sent to the teachers together with the individualized treatment form, so that their form and content can be assessed).
In order to take advantage of these supports, you must have already submitted your certification to the Student Inclusion Services Section.
How to apply (only if you enrolled for the first time up to the academic year 2022-2023)
At the beginning of each course, you can start a dialogue with the teachers to explain your educational needs for the lessons and in view of the exam.
To take exams with the support of compensatory tools and/or dispensatory measures, approximately 15 working days before the exam date, you must:
- send a [email protected]
- attach the completed individualized exam request form to the email. It is not necessary to attach your disability/invalidity certification
- the teacher will review your request, taking into account the necessary support measures as well as the specific teaching objectives
You must also have the document “A TU PER TU” (FACE TO FACE), following the procedure indicated on the page A tu per tu: welcome and supports for the attendance and exams for freshers with disability
