Access with SCU Credentials

SCU (Unified Credential System) credentials allow you to access the MyUniTo reserved area, institutional email and all online services that the University makes available to the university community.

For example, after registering on the portal, SCU credentials allow prospective students to pre-register for admission tests for courses with limited enrolment or to enrol in a course with open enrolment; they allow students to log in to MyUniTo and fill in their career plan, register for exams, keep track of their online student record book, and much more...

For University staff, SCU credentials are assigned 24/48 hours after the date of hire/signing of the contract. For example, with SCU credentials, staff can access MyUniTo and take advantage of a range of online services useful for their career (e.g. University Intranet, webmail, payslips, web time card, etc.).

Find out what your credentials are depending on your profile.

Account attivation

The account for students and doctoral candidates has the format [email protected] (e.g. [email protected]) and becomes active 24 hours after completing the enrolment process for a degree programme or doctoral programme.

The account for University staff has the format [email protected] (e.g. [email protected]) and is automatically activated upon signing the contract.

Integrated authentication

The University's SCU credential system is integrated with other authentication systems such as SPID or CIE.

SPID is the Public System for Digital Identity Management, which allows online access to Public Administration services with a single credential system recognised by all participating institutions.

The Electronic Identity Card (CIE) is the access key, guaranteed by the State and issued by the Ministry of the Interior, which allows UniTo staff and students to securely authenticate themselves to the University's online services.

Thanks to the CIE, citizens no longer need to use different credentials for each administration, but have a single physical and digital identification tool to access online services, both public and private, in Italy and Europe.

Other authentication systems

The UniTo authentication system allows you to connect to other authentication systems with which the University of Turin is federated:

  • the UniTo community can use their University credentials to access the services of external institutions belonging to the federation
  • users of affiliated external institutions can use their credentials to access certain UniTo services.
