* For the 2026–2027 a.y., the required test for the degree course on Global Law and Transnational Legal Studies is the TOLC-SU.

Applicants who have already taken the ENGLISH TOLC-E between January 1, 2025, and November 30, 2025, are not required to take the TOLC-SU.

The TOLC must be taken prior to enrolment and can also be taken before obtaining the secondary school leaving certificate.

Consult this page frequently for all updates on deadlines relating to the various study courses.

You can take the same TOLC several times, but no more than once a month.

If you take the TOLC more than once, the score of the last TOLC taken (and not the one with the best result) will be taken into account for enrolment purposes.

You can take TOLCs of different types, even within the same month.

Once you have finalised your registration, the scores obtained in TOLCs taken subsequently will no longer be taken into account.

To find out the dates, please consult the calendar of tests. The calendar is constantly being updated.

The TOLC can also be taken on dates organised by other universities.

You can register while places are still available.

Do not wait until the last minute, but take the TOLC for the course(s) you are interested in as soon as possible!

You do not have to take the TOLC if:

  • you have taken an admission test at the University of Turin for courses with restricted number of places (via TOLC or another University test), but you decide to enrol on a course with free admission (see the instructions in the following paragraph ‘Information for those who have taken an admission test at the University of Turin
  • you have changed the study course within the University of Turin
  • you are enrolling for an incoming transfer (from another university)
  • you are enrolling in two courses at the same time (you are already enrolled in a course at the University of Turin and you are enrolling in another course at the University of Turin) and you have previously taken the same type of TOLC, foreseen as an admission requirement
  • you already hold an Italian academic degree and are enrolling as a career shortening student.

In the case of admission to the first year, you will be allocated the OFAs (Additional Formative Obligations) as foreseen by the destination course, unless you have taken the same TOLC envisaged by the destination course and obtained a score above the minimum threshold, to get the allocation of the OFA.

In the case of admission to years following to the first one, there are no OFAs.

If you already hold an Italian academic degree and are enrolling as a career shortening student, there are no OFAs.
