International School on Water Reuse

In-person
Period of event:
From Monday 14 September 2026 to Thursday 17 September 2026

From 14th to 17th September 2026, Turin will host the fifth edition of the International School on Water Reuse (ISWR), an international initiative focused on advanced training and networking, dedicated to the sustainable management and reuse of water resources.

The School is promoted by the Department of Chemistry of the University of Turin within the framework of the Sustainable_Water@UniTo Scientific Platform, with the support of the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission.

Through a multidisciplinary approach, the initiative aims to provide participants with an integrated perspective on the main challenges related to water reuse, addressing topics ranging from treatment technologies to regulatory, economic and social aspects.

The programme, entirely in English, includes lectures, round tables and opportunities for discussion with experts in the field. Case studies on water reuse in agricultural, industrial and urban contexts will also be examined, with the aim of analysing concrete applications and innovation scenarios. A technical visit to a major integrated water resources management facility is also planned.

The School is aimed at PhD candidates, early-career researchers, academics from different disciplines, professionals and practitioners in the water and environmental sectors, as well as policy makers interested in sustainability and water resource management.

The registration deadline is 30th June 2026.
