Microsoft Office 365 Pro Plus
The University of Turin has agreed to the contractual terms signed by the CRUI Foundation following a public tender procedure for the acquisition of Microsoft licences, within the context of the international Enrolment for Education Solution (CASA-EES) programme.
What is
The Office 365 ProPlus licence includes a suite of cloud-based apps, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and much more.
You can download and install the Office 365 version on up to 5 personal devices (PCs, laptops, tablets, smartphones) provided that it is used for personal productivity and not in the context of businesses, companies, sole traders, VAT numbers, etc.
Who can use it
Regularly enrolled students and teaching and technical administrative staff of the University of Turin are eligible for this initiative for the entire duration of the agreement and until the end of their studies/employment.
For reasons related to the rationalisation of the number of licences, certain roles are not included in this service, including, for example: contract lecturers, scholarship holders, external collaborators and students enrolled in individual courses.
Students at the end of their studies:
- your account will be disabled for all Office 365 online services and you will have 30 days to recover any content saved on One Drive. At the end of the 30 days, the data will be deleted from the system and will no longer be recoverable.
- Locally installed applications will continue to function in view-only mode.
Staff at the end of their employment:
Your account will be disabled for all Office 365 online services, and your data will be deleted from the system and will no longer be recoverable. Any content saved on OneDrive that you wish to keep in a backup must therefore be retrieved before the deadline.

How is it obtained?
Those eligible are automatically authorised to access the Office365 ProPlus service from portal.office.com using their institutional email account (@unito.it / @edu.unito.it) and associated SCU password.
The system will automatically verify eligibility for licence use and access to related services.
Technical support
The University of Turin does not provide technical support for the use, download and installation of the tools included in the suite.

Who can use Office 365?

- Uninstall Office 365 from your device (path: Start / Control Panel / Programmes and Features)
- Log in to portal.office.com
- Download the appropriate installation package for your workstation again
- Proceed with the new installation, making sure you are connected to the Internet.
