8th Cancer Cachexia conference - Meeting open to the public on 27th September 2025
On Saturday 27th September 2025, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Aldo Moro Auditorium (Via Sant'Ottavio 18 – Turin), a meeting open to the public will be held as part of the 8th International Conference on Cancer Cachexia. The initiative is aimed at patients, caregivers, family members, friends and the general public.
The meeting will address the many aspects of cachexia management, with presentations on the role of patient associations, clinical strategies, and support pathways adopted internationally. Experts from the United States, the United Kingdom, Portugal, and the Netherlands will speak.
The event is part of the initiatives for the first World Cancer Cachexia Awareness Day, established to raise awareness of the importance of early diagnosis of this little-known but widespread condition among cancer patients.
In addition, on 26th September 2025, the Mole Antonelliana will be illuminated to celebrate the establishment of the first World Cancer Cachexia Awareness Day, to increase the awareness of patients, families, friends and doctors of the early signs of this condition, which is as serious as it is often unrecognised.
