UNITA Starting grant on Research – Global Health and Inclusive Societies

The UNITA Alliance issued two calls for Starting Grants on Research to strengthen collaboration between UNITA partners through the implementation of new projects or the consolidation of existing projects.
Proposals are accepted in all possible variants and declinations of one of the following subjects:
Call Global health:
- Cellular and Molecular Human and Veterinary Medicine
- Mental and physical health, well-being, and prevention medicine in humans and animals
Call Inclusive societies:
- Social inclusion and equal opportunities in a multicultural setting
- Pathways to inclusive societies: Exploring the role of Democracy, Institutions, Politics, Citizenship, and Information
The application deadline for both calls is August 24th, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. CET.
The projects must be submitted by teaching staff or researchers from at least three different university partners of the UNITA Alliance and should include in the working group post-docs and PhD candidates.
Proposals may be submitted by scholars in various disciplines, ranging from Engineering, Computer science, Physics, Chemistry or Materials science, but also from economics and law and other social sciences.
Proposals must focus on technical solutions and highlight concrete actions to develop collaborative projects between the academic community, socio-economic stakeholders and local communities.
The duration of a project is up to 12 months.
Multidisciplinary projects are particularly welcome.
Each applicant (whatever the status) may only participate in one project.
