A tu per tu: welcome and support for the attendance and exams for freshers with SLD

New reception procedures and submission of support requests, addressed exclusively to first-year students starting from academic year 2023–2024

All UniTo students with SLD, whether they attend degree programs at central campuses or at decentralized sites, can benefit from dedicated support services and from adjustments to study and assessment methods, in accordance with Law 170/2010 and the Guidelines attached to Ministerial Decree no. 5669/2011, while keeping learning objectives unchanged.

Starting from the 2023/2024 academic year, a new tool has been introduced to help you assess your needs and submit specific requests, both for studying and attending courses and for university examinations: the A TU PER TU document (Accordo individualizzaTo in Unito PER i supportTi Universitari).

A TU PER TU is a summary document, produced jointly with the Student Inclusion Services Section and issued to you, which contains the list of support services you can access, as well as the compensatory tools and dispensatory measures you may request during exams. You must always use the A TU PER TU document when communicating with teaching staff.

To obtain the A TU PER TU, you must send an email to [email protected] including:

  • your SLD certification (if it has not already been submitted for admission tests)
  • the completed Intake Form
  • then wait for the appointment you will be given for an interview

For information on the types of support services available, please consult the page:

How to request compensatory tools and dispensatory measures during exams

At the beginning of each course, you can start a dialogue with the teaching staff to explain your learning needs for classes and in preparation for the exam.

To take exams with the support of compensatory tools and/or dispensatory measures, about 15 working days before the exam date you must:

  • send an email to the instructor, copying (Cc) [email protected]
  • attach the A TU PER TU document to the email, also completing the specific attachment with requests for that individual exam. It is not necessary to attach your SLD certification
  • the instructor will review your request, taking into account your difficulties as well as the specific learning objectives of the course
