The Department studies agricultural, forestry and food systems in their biological, ecological and production aspects. It addresses technological and economic-managerial aspects, environmental footprints, and biotechnological approaches related to their evolution and improvement.

The Department's multi-disciplinary research activities, ranging from analytical and environmental chemistry to industriai chemistry and metallurgy, focus on the underlying foundations of chemical science related phenomena.

Located in the San Luigi Gonzaga Hospital, the Department develops top ranked basic and clinical research. Interdisciplinarity is one of the main strengths of the research activity, ranging from neurology to oncology, psychology, physiology and clinical pharmacology, redox homeostasis, regenerative medicine, nanotechnologies, genetic and rare diseases.

Our Department is the centre coordinating research, teaching, dissemination and technological transfer in Computer Science.
The Department covers both methodological and application oriented aspects of computer science, and performs research in several interdisciplinary areas.

With its interdisciplinary vocation, the Department can bring complementary resources to bear on the challenges of complexity, as it favours dialogues between sociology and political science, international relations and anthropology, history, political philosophy, linguistics, geography, economics and law.

Our Department uses a multisciplinary and technological approach in its efforts to design and develop new bio-active molecules and their metabolites, study the mechanisms underlying  their action, develop new drugs of natural and synthetic origin, develop innovative drug delivery strategies as well as nanotechnologies. Furthermore, it is involved in the chemical characterization of nutrients, foodstuffs and the development of new cosmetic formulations.

Teaching provided within the Department combines traditional and cutting-edge techniques in geology. 
Research activity covers a range of disciplines, such as natural science, environmental science, chemistry, physics, genetic inheritance and biomedical science and aims to foster interaction with civil society as well as public and private stakeholders in geology-related activities.

It constitutes an important point of reference for research and teaching in the economic-statistical field at the University of Turin. Its activities—research, training, and third-mission engagement—respond to the new needs of society, the local area, and the productive system.

The Department of Economics, Social Studies, Applied Mathematics and Statistics (ESOMAS) promotes an interdisciplinary perspective on the analysis of economic and social phenomena characterized by attention to quantitative aspects and stands out for its strong adherence to international best practices in research, teaching and third mission activities.

Our Department's teaching and research focus on European, North and Latin American, Asian and Middle Eastern languages, their literatures and cultures.
We conduct basic, applied and pedagogical research.

it provides students with a globally-framed historical education that encompasses programs in History from  Antiquity to Contemporary Age, in History of Art, in Archaeology, in  Geography, in History of Religion. Students following these education programs will attain a deep and critical historical comprehension of world history.

Our Department combines the Italian humanistic tradition in philology, literature, art and culture with an interdisciplinary approach, that includes modern teaching and research areas, such as Asian, African and Mediterranean studies, and media, music and performing arts. Teaching and research in Italian studies are carried out within the Department.

It carries out cutting-edge research across almost all the Scientific-Disciplinary Sectors in the field of Legal Sciences. The historical, transnational, and comparative dimension is not only the subject of specialized studies, but is cultivated within the Department as an essential component in every area of legal knowledge, and represents one of the elements that has most strongly characterized its research in recent years.

Our Department carries out teaching and research in biology, environmental sciences, biotechnology and health, with special focus on areas such as biodiversity, ecology, evolution, conservation, microbiology, cell biology, human and plant physiology, and genomics.

The scientific project of the Department of Management is aimed at seizing the complex reality of the business context in its entirety.

The primary mission of our Department is to promote excellence in research and teaching in all areas of Mathematics.
It wishes to guarantee scientific and didactical activity in Mathematics by enhancing national and international visibility, and promoting scientific and didactical exchange in the University both at the national and international levels.

It is characterized by a multidisciplinary feature, as it involves 18 different Scientific Disciplinary Sectors (SSD) and it is based on three main aspects, welfare, scientific research and education, with the aim of introducing innovation in the medical area.

Departmental research focuses on molecular events underlying pathophysiological processes, and takes a translational medicine approach. Combining basic research and clinical research to develop translational paradigms, the Department seeks to develop advanced diagnostic technologies and innovative therapeutic strategies for clinical practice.

Our department was born in 2012 with the aim of bringing together different clinical and biomedical academic traditions. This cooperation among different branches represents an added value for research teams and individual researchers to develop vertical interactions between clinical, basic sciences, and translational research on the nervous system. In 2013 it was dedicated to Rita Levi Montalcini, who started working in the basic and clinical institutes of the Department.

The mission of the Department is to contribute significantly to the understanding of the pathogenic mechanisms of neoplastic disease and its treatment. For this purpose, all those professionals - teachers, and staff - with specific interests in neoplasms, from preclinical research to translational research and finally to the clinic and assistance, converge in the Department of Oncology.

It offers an innovative and interdisciplinary approach in teaching and research. Academic staff members include prominent scholars in philosophy, education, communication and sociology. Key areas in philosophy and education are studied with reference to their historical development and influence on contemporary culture.

Our Department promotes and carries out Research in fundamental and applied physics, including cross-disciplinary aspects. Teaching covers the basic and advanced aspects of all the Research areas in which the Department is active. In addition, it is the centre of the degree in optics and optometry and key partner of the cross-departmental programs in medical physics, physics of complex systems and space science.

The Department's activity focuses on two main areas: applied laboratory research and specialist support provided to local services and their organisations.
Special focus is devoted to clinical training of psychologists and research includes both traditional and new areas such as neuropsychology, neuro-imaging, wellbeing and workfamily interface.

The Department promotes innovative research projects, adopting a multidisciplinary approach that includes general and specialist surgery, anaesthesia, radiology and dentistry. As a medical department located in Città della Salute e della Scienza medical centre, it provides training in a wide range of clinical and healthcare areas. In addition, the Department is a key advisor for local public health institutions.

The department brings together several specialist branches characterized by a high degree of affinity: general surgery and specialist surgical fields, anesthesia and intensive care, radiological sciences, and dental sciences.
As a department with a strong clinical focus, the educational program is centered on training for clinical and healthcare practice.

Our Department is committed to excellence in teaching and research in various areas of veterinary science, with a special focus on the welfare and health of animals, humans and the environment.

It is the reference structure of the Polytechnic and the University of Turin in the cultural areas that study the processes of transformation and governance of the territory from the global to the local scale, considered in the its physical, economic, social, political, cultural aspects and their interrelations, in a perspective of sustainability.
