Patents
The Knowledge Transfer Office of the University of Turin evaluates the potential for their industrial implementation, establishes non disclosure agreements (NDA) and identifies the most promising opportunities for exploitation - also in collaboration with the inventors - by selecting companies that are potentially interested in the patent with the aim of signing contracts for the exploitation of the patent.
Currently, the University of Turin has a large portfolio of patents and patent applications, some of them still being available for licensing or assignment.
The patent applications filed since 2016 have been divided into macro-categories and the related descriptions are available below.
Descriptions of UniTO's patents are also available on Knowledge Share, a platform created by a joint project of the Ministero dello Sviluppo Economico - Ufficio Italiano Brevetti e Marchi (UIBM), Network per la Valorizzazione della Ricerca (Netval) and Politecnico di Torino.
