Alias Career

To ensure the psychological and physical well-being of people who study and work at the University, who are part of the University of Turin community in any capacity, and to promote the creation of an inclusive study and work environment, the University of Turin, in collaboration with the Guarantee Committee, has put in place protective measures for individuals who need to use a name other than their registered name within the University, through the activation of an alias career.

What is it

It is a temporary, transitional, and non-consolidated identity for the purpose of issuing new identification documents (smart cards), a new email account, and identification badges, when necessary.

The temporary identification document associated with the alias career must be used exclusively within the University.

Who can apply for it

Students, teaching and administrative staff, contract lecturers, collaborators, external members of collegiate bodies, and anyone else who works, even occasionally or temporarily, in the University's facilities.

Temporary recognition of an alias identity may also be authorized for University guests who, during seminars, conferences, lecture series, or other initiatives, wish to use an alias name instead of their official identity on posters, identification badges, and any other informational material related to the initiative.
