Alumni UniTo Project
Your degree is just the beginning
Why join the Alumni Community
Belonging to the university community does not end with the award of a degree, it evolves into a lasting relationship that continues to generate value over time. Through dedicated initiatives, the Alumni Community maintains an active connection with the University, sharing experiences, expertise and perspectives that enrich both personal and professional journeys, as well as the development of the university community.
In particular, the Alumni Community benefits from:
Continuing Education
Access to refresher courses, seminars and conferences focused on professional and cultural development.
Networking
Participation in the Community to create and consolidate professional relationships at national and international level.
Professional Opportunities
Access to a network that fosters relationships, collaborations, dedicated services and agreements with corporate and cultural partners.
Innovative Projects
Opportunity to participate in scientific, economic, cultural and social initiatives promoted by the University or with strategic partners.
Coworking Spaces
The University intends to provide in the future shared environments to develop ideas, projects and collaborations between Alumni and the academic community.
Connection with UniTo
Remain an active part of the University: events, ceremonies, institutional initiatives and opportunities reserved for Alumni.
Who can join the Alumni Community
The UniTo Alumni Community includes:
- those who have obtained a university degree by the University (bachelor’s degree, master's degree, PhD, first- and second-level university master's, specialisation diploma), including degrees awarded as part of joint international programmes or double degree programmes, pursuant to Ministerial Decree of 22 October 2004 no. 270, which governs the organisation of university studies and the types of degrees awarded by universities;
- those who have participated in international mobility programmes for study, having completed a period of study of no less than six months at the University of Turin;
- those who have been awarded an Honorary Degree by UniTo.
A Community Without Borders
The UniTo Alumni Community is a network that spans the world. Thousands of former students of UniTo today live and work across Europe, the Americas, Asia and Africa: researchers, professionals, entrepreneurs and international officials who carry with them the value of their education in Turin.
Being international Alumni means being a bridge between UniTo and the world: contributing to the international reputation of the University, opening opportunities for scientific and professional collaboration, and being part of a global network that the University recognises as one of its most strategic assets.
Wherever you are, your connection with UniTo has value, for you and for our university.
Mentoring and Ambassadors
Becoming a Mentor or Ambassador does not simply mean giving something back to the University, it means investing in your own career and your own network. Those who take on this role gain institutional visibility within UniTo and its communication channels, come into contact with professionals and academics from other sectors and disciplines, receive formal recognition from the University, and have the opportunity to take part in exclusive events and initiatives, actively contributing to the development of the university community.
Being part of the Alumni Community means:
- being a point of reference for students, supporting their academic and professional development through mentoring activities and career guidance
- acting as promoters of the dissemination and transfer of knowledge in scientific, technological and cultural fields, contributing to dialogue between the university, the productive sector and society
- serving as true Ambassadors of the University, sharing experiences, expertise and professional networks, and contributing to the development and prestige of the University of Turin at national and international level.
The value of the Community for UniTo
The involvement of former students represents for the University of Turin a powerful instrument of growth, enhancement and openness towards society. The role of Alumni can be understood as follows:
- Promotion and mutual enhancement - Alumni are regarded as true "ambassadors" of the University, helping to enhance its capabilities and consolidate its reputation through their work and careers
- Contribution to strategic development - Alumni actively contribute to achieving the University's strategic goals, sharing experiences, expertise and professional networks in support of the development of the University of Turin
- Knowledge transfer and innovation - Alumni foster the dissemination and transfer of knowledge in scientific, technological and cultural fields, contributing to dialogue between the university, the productive sector and society.
The Community creates value for the territory
Strengthening the bond between UniTo Alumni and the University further amplifies the impact the University has on the city and the Piedmont region, and contributes to:
Attracting investment
For Turin and Piedmont, promoting the local system internationally and amplifying, for example, the impact of regional missions in which the University participates.
Developing networks of cooperation
Between Piedmontese cities, the Region, and international and local productive clusters.
Creating public value
Improving quality of life and economic, social and environmental well-being for the reference community, both internal (students, academic and administrative staff) and external (other universities, institutions and businesses), in line with the University's current PIAO.
