Refunds

Any tuition fees paid in excess may be refunded in the following cases:

• obtained exemptions
• reduction based on ISEE universitario or GDP per capita PPP
• graduation in the previous academic year, e.g. degree awarded in the "sessione straordinaria" (extraordinary session)
• enrolment in the first year of a two-years postgraduate degree programme having obtained an undergraduate degree from UniTo with a grade of 110/110 cum laude, in the first available session in the 2025-2026 academic year, as students enrolled within the standard duration of the programme, without having benefited from a career shortening
• having obtained a postgraduate degree with a mark of 110/110 cum laude in the first available session, being enrolled for a number of years not exceeding the standard duration of the programme, without having benefited from a career shortening
• double payments.

The amounts paid for admission tests and stamp duty are not refundable. 

Where applicable, any refund of the regional tax for the right to university study is the competence of EDISU Piemonte.

Refunds are processed automatically in the following cases:

• graduation in the previous academic year, e.g. degree awarded in the “sessione straordinaria” (extraordinary session)
• graduation with a mark of 110/110 cum laude in the first available examination session, as detailed in the previous paragraph
• eligibility for – or awarding of – an EDISU scholarship.

Please ensure you have entered your IBAN in the "Personal data" section of your MyUniTo account: all the steps are outlined in the paragraph below.

The processing time for the refund is 90 days from the end of the degree session or from the date Edisu notifies the relevant data, provided you have promptly entered your IBAN.

For all refunds not listed among those paid ex officio, after entering your IBAN in the "Personal data" section of your MyUniTo account, it is required to contact the Sezione Diritto allo Studio (Tuition Fees Office).

The refund will then be processed within 90 days.

In order to enter your IBAN please login in to your MyUniTo account and follow the steps: Enrolments / Personal data / Edit bank account refund data. You must choose the option: "bancoposta/CC bancario/carta prepagata" (bank account/prepaid card). The IBAN must be in the name – or joint name – of the student benefiting from the refund.

The IBAN will also be considered for any future refunds: check periodically that the data entered in your MyUniTo account are correct and updated.
