Courses without restricted number of places

Enrolment to all first cycle degrees and one-long cycle degree programmes without a restricted number of places is subject to a compulsory TARM (Minimum Requirements Assessment Test).
 

Starting from the academic year 2018-2019, the TARM is a single test, which is valid for all first cycle degrees and one-long cycle degree programmes held in Italian, not planning a restricted number of students. For the courses in English and for students with foreign qualifications other specific tests are planned, please consult the relating paragraphs.

Matriculation procedure for first cycle degrees and one-long cycle degree programmes held in Italian language
1. Registration to the Portal www.unito.it

If you are previously registered at UniTO,  you have already the access credentials and you do not need to register again. If you do not remember your credentials please contact the toll free number 800 098590 (mon-fri 8-20 and sat 8-13) or use the service Password Retrieval (Ricordami la password).

2. From 17th July 2018: register for the TARM

3. By the 5th October: go on with the enrolment

Regardless of the results of the TARM, by the 5th October, go on with the enrolment as follows:

  • login and authenticate with the credentials (username and password), obtained while registering at the portal to access your MyUniTO area
  • select the item "Iscrizioni", then the item "Immatricolazione
  • fill in the on-line application form.

During this phase, you must upload the following documents:

  1. photo that will be printed on the smart card
  2. photocopy of a valid identification document
  3. photocopy of tax identification number (codice fiscale).

Technical features of photo
The color photo size must be 35x40mm. You must use photo for documents (as identification document or driving licence) that shows your face on a light background. The photo must be in bitmap or jpeg format, with a resolution of 300x400 pixel at least.

Not admitted photo or invalid photo:

  • panoramic photo, from distance, backs turned or partially visible in the face
  • photo with another person together
  • drawing or caricature
  • photo of another person.
4. Print out the matriculation application form and the MAV

Print out the matriculation application form and the MAV slip for the payment of the tuition fees.

5. Within the 5th October 2018: pay the first instalment of tuition fees

Within the 5th October 2018 pay the first instalment of tuition fees.  If you pay with the MAV, you must pay within 4 p.m. of the deadline: after 4 p.m. the payment will have the date of the day after, in this way it will be considered after the scheduled deadline to confirm the matriculation.

6. Enclose all necessary documents

Enclose all necessary documents (matriculation application from duly signed and completed, receipt of the payment of the first instalment) by logging in at MyUniTO, from menu “Iscrizioni” selecting the item “Allegati carriera”.

7. Collect your smart card

If you do not have the Smart Card issued by the University of Turin yet, you will receive the collecting details by email at the student's email address assigned to you at the time of matriculation. If you already hold a smart card, update it consulting the instructions provided on the relative webpage.

8. TARM Result (minimum requirements assessment test)

Test superato - passed (at least 30 correct answers out of 55): you can go on with the enrolment, starting from the third working dasy, after the TARM date. After matriculation, it will be possible to fill in the career plan, starting in October, in order to be able to take the exams in the first available session.

Test non superato - not passed (less than 30 correct answers out of 55): you can go on with the enrolment starting from the third working day, after the TARM date, but you will be assigned Additional Compulsory Courses (OFA).

The Additional Compulsory Courses (OFAs) are considered performed, after having followed the single path for the strengthening of the individual soft skills (Passport.U), to be completed in order to go on with the completion of the career plan, starting from October. In case of failure, the completion of the career plan will be blocked and you will not be able to take exams.

If your score is between 30 and 40, we suggest following the online path Passport.U.

Matriculation procedure for students with a foreign qualification, enrolling in first cycle degree courses and one-long cycle degree programmes, held in Italian language
Candidates with an upper school leaving certificate, obtained abroad can enrol by following the instructions below:
1. Registration to the Portal www.unito.it

2. From 23rd July to 20th September 2018: register for the Italian Language Test

From 23rd July to 20th September 2018 register for the Italian Test. This test is also valid as a TARM test (Minimum Requirements Assessment Test).

  • login and authenticate with the credentials (username and password), obtained while registering at the portal to access your MyUniTO area
  • select the item "Iscrizioni" in the top left menu, then the item "Test di Valutazione" and then "Test di Italiano
  • fill in the application for the test by choosing the date and time (shift) for taking the test.
3. Take the Italian Language Test

4. Within 5th October: go on with the enrolment

Within 5th October, go on with the enrolment, according to the modalities indicated at the following link:

Candidates with disabilities or with LSD, residing in foreign countries, must submit the certification attesting the disability or LSD issued in the country of residence, along with a sworn translation in Italian or in English language.

Enrolment procedure for first cycle degree courses held in English language (under completion)

It is without restricted number of places the first cycle degree course in Global Law and Transnational Legal Studies.

1. Registration to the Portal www.unito.it

2. From 9.30 on July 30th 2018 to 12.30 on September 4th 2018: sign up for the TARM test

How to sign up:

  • access your MyUniTO reserved area with the credentials (username and password) that you obtained following the registration with the portal
  • select the item Registration in the menu on the top left, then the item Evaluation Test and then Test of Minimum Requirements (TARM) in English for the course in Global Law and Transnational Legal Studies 
  • fill in the registration form for the TARM test, print the memo and take note of your CPI (pre-enrollment code)

If you are a student with disabilities, during the registration phase you will be able to ask for special tools during the evaluation and/or additional time (50% more). To this end, you must upload the medical documentation confirming the disability (without reductions) in pdf format. For certification specifications, see the related page.

 

If you are a student with DSA (Specific Learning Disabilities) during the registration test, you can ask to have 30% additional time. To this end, you must upload the certification indicating the diagnosis of DSA in pdf format. For certification specifications, see the related page.

 

The expression DSA refers to a composite set of learning difficulties concerning reading (Dyslexia), writing (Disortography and Disgraphy) and calculation (Discalculia) with respect to which the University of Turin has prepared a series of technical and/or teaching aids, as well as specialized services, available from the moment in which you choose a course until graduation and beyond, with post-graduate courses.

3. Take the TARM test

To take the test:

  • take the TARM test on September 14th, 2018 (the timetable will be published later, based on the number of the persons enrolled). The test will take place in classroom 3 of the Palazzina Einaudi, in Corso Regina Margherita - Turin
  • bring with you the registration memo, a valid identity document and the tax code, which is mandatory in order to take the test for enrollment it is mandatory to have taken the TARM test. You can proceed with enrollment regardless of the score obtained; in case of non-passing you will be assigned an OFA (additional formative obligations) and until you complete the OFA you will not be able to fill in the career plan starting from the third working day following the TARM test, you will be able to enroll. For example, if you have taken the TARM on Friday you will be able to register from Wednesday the following week.
4. By the 5th October: go on with the enrolment

Regardless of the results of the TARM - that will be available on the Course website - a week after having taken the test and by the 5th October, go on with the enrolment as follows:

  • login and authenticate with the credentials (username and password), obtained while registering at the portal to access your MyUniTO area
  • select the item Iscrizioni, then the item "Immatricolazione
  • fill in the on-line application form.

Students who have already taken the TARM in May 2018

Those students, who have already taken  the TARM in May 2018 with positive results (equal to or higher than 30/55) must:

  • register at the portal www.unito.it, access MyUniTO to complete the update of personal data by the end of August
  • wait for a confirmation e-mail or text message in order to go on with the matriculation to the degree course.

Those students, who have already taken  the TARM in May 2018 but whose outcome has not been positive, must take again the TARM  in September. For the registration follow the above-mentioned directions.

Students exempted from taking the TARM
  • Students coming from other Universities (incoming transfers to Unito)
  • Students who move from one study course to another of UniTO
  • Students who sign up for career shortening, already holding an academic qualification.
