ORCID Identifier

ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) identifier is meant to uniquely match researchers’ identity to their scientific production, enabling data integration across different databases.

It is possible to obtain an ORCID iD through the local research information system IRIS and authorize the data synchronization.

ANVUR (National Agency for the Evaluation of the University and Research Systems) and CRUI (Conference of Italian University Rectors), with technical support provided by CINECA, set up I.R.ID.E (Italian Researcher IDentifier for Evaluation) project, in order to increase the use of the ORCID system among the Italian research community.

The main goal of I.R.ID.E project is to give assistance and encourage university professors, researchers, PhD students and postdoctoral fellows to engage with ORCID.
